Sleep never came to me that night
My thoughts were jousting
My body ached
Eyes puffy from tears
So I decided to meet the dawn
And she came....
Her dress was red and spread across the horizon
Clouds floated through her hair
And she cast light unto the world
Crisp,cold and frosty
And the frost turned pink
Reminding me of my childhood
When I sat eating
A giant strawberry ice cream sundae.
